I’d like to take a minute and discuss something I call our life path. And when I say our path, I mean simply the trajectory we’re on in our lives and how our lives unfold. Many people see their path as linked to spirituality, and in this evolutionary time, I think about this more and more.
It doesn’t matter where you are in life. You could be 15 or 25 or 50, but you are on a path, and that path is how you walk through daily life. This is, in my opinion, how our soul takes root in what we do on earth and how this is expressed through us. Something that will help you identify your path is where your interests lie, what makes you happy, or excites you. What makes you feel passionate and alive? It’s also where we excel as mentors and find a natural affinity for kindness and compassion toward others.
I get this question all the time about where people think they are or should be. Most people, for whatever reason, don’t feel they’re on the path they should be on, or they’re trying to identify more about what their life path might be. So this is gonna be an interesting talk. I hope you like the rest of it.
So let me start by giving you some insight regarding my path. My path, like pretty much everyone else, has shifted and changed through the years, but I really wasn’t on what I would call a spiritual path until about 15 years ago. Now looking back, I can see I was on a spiritual path my whole life; I just didn’t realize it until now.
And my path is one that’s had lots of bumps in the road, lots of clarification. And I feel now, 15 years in, that I have enough information to fully understand my path, at least for the short term. And so, without adding too much detail, I would consider myself an anchor and a bridge for the energy on the planet and for people on the planet that are ascending, including myself.
But what does that really mean? That means that I don’t have a flamboyant position, and that my work is still passion-oriented, but without the notoriety.
I’m not a YouTuber. I don’t talk to thousands of people every week. These things don’t exist for me. And there was a time when I wondered, am I doing anything? Am I doing enough?
I have a yoga teacher, for example, who is a very profound mentor for me. And I always wondered, this person must touch thousands of lives. And she has a legacy that was earned and noticeable. But if you are not careful, this type of analysis can be a trap.
So when I stepped back, I thought, what am I really doing? I thought, you know what, the most important thing is to understand your level of spirituality, not to dumb it down, and not to let anybody else dumb it down. And then if you have an offering, hang a shingle, no matter how big or how small, throw it out there. In other words, you announce to the world where you’re at.
So that’s a little bit about my path. I understand what I’m doing. I’ve let the world know, but I don’t walk around yelling from the rooftops. And then I simply do my work. Quietly.
I learn as I go and assimilate everything into my everyday life. And that’s what I would consider my path. So no, I’m not an influencer. I don’t have events where I’m teaching or talking to 30 or 300 people on weekends. I don’t have the platform of a yoga teacher. I’m just an everyday person.
So if you get one thing out of this message today, let it be this. No matter where you think you are today, you’re in exactly the right place. And that’s a hard lesson to learn because things are coming at us from all different angles, and it’s really easy to get distracted and feel inadequate or not enough.
This has happened to me so many times. And of course, once you know your path, or you start to understand a daily routine that makes sense to you, take this tiny bit of information and build from there. I see it like a ball, it’s yours, and you can throw it up in the air and catch it. With it in your hands, you feel grounded.
It doesn’t matter if you are the YouTuber with a thousand people listening to your video in the first five minutes it’s published. You could be a firefighter just going out on runs, or a mom or a dad staying at home with the kids, or simply going to work every day doing the grind.
It doesn’t matter what you do. If you’re holding a high frequency and bringing light into everything you do across your day, and you’re managing your energy in a way that says, I’m strong, I’m clear, I’m grounded, nothing can knock me too hard. And if I do get bounced, I’ll be right back up again. These are the things that are important to take into your everyday life and not worry so much about what your path might look like to the rest of the world.
We have to stop judging and comparing ourselves to the world we see around us, and learn to create our own.
If I were concerned about what my path looked like to others, I suppose that could create a whole lot of anxiety, because most of the time, it’s a pretty silent effort. And yet, I threw a shingle out a long time ago. I let everyone know what my intentions are.
Now and then, a friend slides in (usually in private) and asks a question that only I can answer. These are my big moments, the moments that make my relatively quiet path feel complete.
Being solid on your path (at least to me) means that you don’t watch yourself too closely. That you let things go quickly, knowing you have all the information you need, even when you sense you have learned nothing.
I hope this information helps.
I hope that it allows you to look at your daily life honestly, with just a bit more compassion and love for yourself, because we’re all working really, really hard. We’re all doing a lot more than we think.
And for those of you who don’t think your role is big enough, look deeper, see the full potential behind your work. Understand the smile and kindness you bring to every encounter. Know the thousands of people, maybe more, that you’ll touch in the entirety of your lifetime, and how many of those people will walk away and do something great because they met you, spoke to you.
It’s really important see who you really are! You are unique and have the potential to aspire through different means to greatness.
